Use videos you control

Convert recordings you filmed, screen captures of your own product, or media where you hold a license that allows this kind of reuse. If you are unsure, do not convert it here.

What we forbid

Our Terms disallow using LocalVideoGif to convert other people’s videos without authorization. That includes ripped streams, full TV/film scenes you do not own, and similar unauthorized sources.

Fair use is not a free pass we adjudicate

Some jurisdictions recognize limited exceptions (commentary, criticism, etc.). We do not provide legal advice and do not “certify” that your GIF is fair use. When in doubt, ask a lawyer or use media you clearly control.
