Why a local GIF maker (and not another upload site)

Upload GIF makers are convenient until the clip is sensitive, under NDA, or simply not something you want on someone else’s disk. A local tool cannot eliminate every risk (malware on your own machine is still your problem), but it removes the “must send the file to a converter SaaS” step.

Privacy wedge

Your draft product video, classroom demo, or internal UI recording often should not sit in a random converter’s temporary storage. Client-side conversion keeps the bytes in the tab.

Honest product scope

LocalVideoGif is intentionally narrow: short-clip Video → GIF. It is not a full editor, not a YouTube ripper, and not LocalVideoZip (compress). Separate slug, separate SEO page, different violet+lime theme.
